Still Parade burst on to the scene in 2013 as an anonymous artist with viral online hit ‘Actors’ as a debut single. As 2013 rolled into 2014 the man behind the music was unveiled as Niklas Kramer, a young songwriter and producer basing himself out of Germany’s creative hub of Berlin. Initially his output was recorded within fully equipped studios alongside experienced producers, however, as 2014 progressed Kramer began to experiment with recording techniques.
This experimentation started after Kramer was gifted a tape machine by his father who himself had played a significant role in Niklas’ musical development, having passed on old records to his son as he was growing up. Kramer quickly discovered that he was able to produce a sound alone in his tiny Berlin apartment using his tape machine, which was in fact more akin to his own personal taste. The results of which are a debut album echoing the sounds of some of Kramer’s heroes Todd Rundgren and Crosby, Stills and Nash.
In June 2016 Still Parade released their highly-acclaimed debut album “Concrete Vision” via Heist or Hit and Lefse Records.
